National Entitlement Cards (NEC) and Under 22 Young Scot Cards are accepted on all megabus services within Scotland, allowing you to travel for free.
Concession cards are only valid for travel within Scotland and can’t be used on services that travel outside Scotland, such as journeys to Belfast or Blackpool, or journeys in England.
While your travel itself is free, if you choose to pre‑book online, a booking fee will apply. Additional items, such as seat reservations or extra luggage, are also chargeable.
NEC and Young Scot Cards are not valid on special services, including Christmas Day services or event‑specific travel.
For megabus services in England, discounts are available if you're over 60 or a student. These are available online by booking in advance, or directly from the driver when boarding.
If you’re unsure whether your card will be valid for a particular journey, our team will be happy to help before you travel.
