Stopping the Coach

Modified on Sun, 24 May at 9:56 AM

Our drivers will keep an eye out at the bus stops we use along our routes to check for passengers waiting to board.

To make this easier for them, it's helpful if you can clearly indicate to the driver you want to board, such as waving your hand or, if it's dark, your lit-up phone screen.

If you're boarding in a busy area, there may be other coaches and buses using the same stop - keep a close eye for the coach you want as they may have to stop behind another vehicle. If you have luggage you want to put in the hold, let the driver know and they will be happy to help.

When you're ready to get off, simply press the stop button in good time before your stop. This lets the driver know you'd like to get off at the next stop.

If your seat doesn’t have a stop button, please make your way to the front of the coach and let the driver know directly that you wish to get off.

Stop buttons may be located above your seat or nearby, depending on the coach you’re travelling on. If you’re unsure where to find one, the driver or stance staff will be happy to help.

Before leaving, please check you have all your belongings, and let the driver know if you have any luggage stored in the hold.
